What You’ll Do:
Navitas is seeking an experienced IBM MAS 9 Architect to lead the design, upgrade, and migration of Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes/OpenShift, database management, and enterprise integrations. This role will focus on upgrading from Maximo 7.x to MAS 8/9, managing data and configuration migrations, and ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing deployments.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Architect, implement, and support IBM MAS 9 cloud-native environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift).

  • Lead upgrade and migration projects from Maximo 7.x to MAS 8/9, including:

    • Data migration

    • Configuration migration

    • Integration upgrades

  • Manage cloud and infrastructure solutions, including Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS, and DevOps toolchains.

  • Configure and optimize databases including DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.

  • Deploy and manage middleware, specifically WebSphere Liberty or equivalent application servers.

  • Design and implement integrations using:

    • MAS Integration Framework (MIF)

    • REST APIs, JSON, SOAP, and message queues

  • Support change management activities, including project planning, testing, stakeholder training, and transition to operations.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support MAS deployments and automation.

  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack.

  • Ensure security and access control for MAS 9 environments.

  • Utilize version control tools such as Git to manage customizations and code integrity.


What You’ll Need:
  • Proven expertise with IBM MAS 9 and Maximo architectures, including Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments.

  • Strong experience in containerization (Docker/Podman) and orchestration.

  • Hands-on experience upgrading Maximo 7.x to MAS 8/9, including data and configuration migration.

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and related DevOps tools.

  • Strong knowledge of databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) and application servers (WebSphere Liberty or equivalent).

  • Experience with MAS Integration Framework (MIF) and enterprise integration patterns (REST, SOAP, JSON, MQ).

  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and performance management (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automation tools.

  • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Set Yourself Apart With:
  • IBM Maximo or MAS 9 certifications.

  • Prior experience in large-scale upgrade/migration projects.

  • Familiarity with public sector or highly regulated environments.

  • Strong background in security and compliance best practices.

  • Experience training end-users and leading organizational change initiatives.
