What You’ll Do:

Navitas is seeking an experienced GIS Application Programmer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of ArcGIS Server applications within a dynamic enterprise environment. This role will contribute to GIS application upgrades, provide ongoing support for the ArcGIS Server ecosystem, and collaborate on solutions involving ArcGIS Web AppBuilder and integrations with CityWorks.

The ideal candidate is a versatile developer with strong GIS expertise, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain ArcGIS Server applications and related GIS solutions.
  • Support GIS application upgrades, environment configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Work with ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, ArcGIS APIs, and custom widgets to build and maintain web‑based GIS tools.
  • Integrate GIS applications with CityWorks and other enterprise systems.
  • Utilize ArcGIS ModelBuilder and Python for automation, data processing, and workflow development.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve program, application, and production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, triggers, stored procedures, and other database components.
  • Create and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high‑quality GIS applications.
  • Provide documentation, technical guidance, and knowledge transfer as needed.
What You’ll Need:
  • 5+ years of experience developing and modifying applications using:
    • J2EE
    • .NET
    • JavaScript
    • HTML
    • C#
    • Python
  • Strong hands‑on experience with ESRI ArcGIS technologies, including:
    • ArcGIS Server
    • ArcGIS APIs
    • ArcGIS JavaScript API
    • ArcGIS Web AppBuilder
    • Collector
    • ArcSDE
    • ArcGIS Mobile
  • Experience with ArcGIS ModelBuilder and Python scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, including queries, triggers, and stored procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze program and production issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience developing reports using SSRS.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Set Yourself Apart With:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, change management, project management, or program analysis.
  • Recent professional engagement with a government entity.
