What You’ll Do:
Navitas is seeking a highly experienced Chief Architect to serve as the Government’s primary architectural authority for the WDP program. This role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and governing the enterprise and solution architecture baseline, ensuring alignment with Government-approved objectives and consistent architectural standards. The Chief Architect will lead architecture decision support activities, coordinate with stakeholders and integration partners, and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and governance processes. This position focuses on architecture definition, governance, and decision enablement rather than system implementation or operational execution.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Serve as the Government’s primary architectural authority for the WDP program.
Establish and maintain the enterprise and solution architecture baseline for WDP.
Ensure architectural consistency and alignment with Government-approved objectives.
Govern architectural standards and ensure controlled evolution of the platform.
Lead architectural decision support activities for program initiatives.
Coordinate architecture activities across stakeholders and integration partners.
Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and security requirements.
Support architecture governance processes and ensure compliance with approved frameworks.
Provide architectural guidance to support program strategy and technical direction.
What You’ll Need:
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience performing enterprise, system, or solution architecture roles for programs of comparable size, scope, and complexity.
- Experience establishing and governing architecture across heterogeneous and multi-cloud environments (e.g., multiple commercial cloud service providers, on-premises, or hybrid environments).
- Experience applying DoD or Federal architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF or equivalent) to support architecture governance and traceability.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Experience leading or advising architecture governance bodies such as architecture review boards or technical review boards.
- Experience supporting federated or multi-cloud architectures, including alignment of security, data, and platform standards.
- Experience supporting data, analytics, artificial intelligence, or platform modernization initiatives in an architectural leadership role.
- Experience engaging with industry partners, vendors, and open-source communities to inform architectural decisions.
- Relevant professional certifications supporting enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, or multi-cloud architecture (e.g., CISSP or professional-level cloud architect certifications from AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
