What You’ll Do:
As the selected Proposal Writer, you will support U.S. State and Federal Government projects by developing high‑quality, compliant, and compelling proposal content. You will collaborate closely with SMEs, architects, developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to gather technical information and translate it into clear, professional documentation aligned with government procurement standards.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develop and write technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, SOWs, technical narratives, user guides, SOPs, and process documentation.
Prepare proposal sections including executive summaries, technical approaches, solution descriptions, past performance, and compliance matrices.
Gather technical and functional information from SMEs, architects, developers, and project managers.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling content tailored for government audiences.
Ensure all proposal content meets compliance requirements, formatting standards, and evaluation criteria.
Edit, proofread, and format documents with strong attention to detail and consistency.
Maintain version control, templates, and documentation libraries using tools such as Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with proposal strategy.
What You’ll Need:
5+ years of experience in Proposal Writing.
Mandatory experience supporting U.S. State Government and/or U.S. Federal Government projects.
Strong expertise in developing technical documentation, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, SOWs, and structured narratives.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong editing, proofreading, formatting, and attention‑to‑detail capabilities.
Ability to convert complex technical information into clear, professional, and persuasive content.
Experience collaborating with SMEs, architects, developers, and project managers to gather technical inputs.
Preferred Skills:
Experience preparing U.S. Federal or State Government proposals and RFP/RFI responses.
Understanding of government procurement, proposal compliance, and evaluation frameworks.
Experience developing:
Technical proposals
Compliance matrices
Executive summaries
Solution descriptions
Past performance sections
Knowledge of SDLC, IT modernization, and technology project environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Confluence, Visio, or similar documentation tools.
Experience working with cross‑functional teams and technical SMEs.
Important Requirement:
Candidates must have prior experience working on U.S. State or Federal Government projects specifically in Proposal Writing. Candidates with only commercial/private‑sector writing experience will not be considered.
The pay range provided is a good-faith estimate and represents the range the company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Individual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and business needs.
